Rehab and Exercises

Support Your Chiropractic Care with Spine Rehab and Exercises

At Align we utilize the most research based spinal rehab exercises in existence today. The rehab we prescribe is extremely simple but effective and support corrective chiropractic adjustments by allowing structural change to happen QUICKLY. Every single practice member is given a personal training session on these exercises once they start care to ensure that every movement is done correctly to get maximal benefits.

The aim of the exercises is to stretch and strengthen the muscles surrounding the spine, which helps in correcting posture. For example, one of the simple exercises practice members do is called “wobbling.” Maybe you’ve seen a wobble cushion before. It’s very similar to an exercise ball (without the risk of falling off of it!). This exercise is great for the core muscles surrounding the spine in the lower back, but most importantly, it is extremely effective in keeping discs in the spine hydrated. We always say—movement is life. On the wobble cushion, the goal is to get moving!

There are several other exercises that focus on correcting structural problems in the neck, middle back, lower back, and pelvis. In order to correct structural problems in the spine, rehab exercises are mandatory to make it happen.

At Align, we are 1 of 400 chiropractic clinics in the world that actually show before and after changes on a patient’s X-ray, and the rehab exercises paired with adjustments are a big reason why we get to see change!
